Before Bed

Yesterday was eventful (for me anyway)...

I travelled to this little girl's first birthday party.
(She is my best friend's niece.)
So dang cute.

I spent a lot of time with this guy, and the family dog, Jasmine.

Then after the party, my friend Julie and I
went to visit her boyfriend at work (he is a firefighter).
I had never been in a fire station before,
so I asked for a tour.
Yay!

We went to the park the
other day and I captured
his excitement.

Hawthorne is quite fun.
Lots of funky vintage shops. Yay.

Swings

I had swings in my backyard
as a kid.

The little guy that I babysit, Endy,
is a baby model
and was in an ad for our Sunday newspaper!

Postcard Society

I am part of a really awesome group called the
Benevolent Postcard Society.

We send postcards to each other every month for a year.
At the end of the year, we send all the postcards
back to the founder.
She is going to do an art show
and book.
Yay.
I am so excited to see everybody's postcards.

Finally bought Photoshop Elements.
Yay!
I played around with it in class tonight...

I have so much to learn.
PS Elements is way over my head.
I have no clue how people understand regular Photoshop.

Antique Shopping

Mom and I + Antique Shops = Mayhem

Well hello there.
That painting scared the crap out of me.
The Antique shops in Aurora, OR are quite creepy.

I love exploring new places.
Aurora was a fine town.
When the stuff wasn't creepy,
it was actually pretty awesome.

On the way back home we decided to take
the ferry instead of the bridge.
I love ferries.
